Medical disclaimer
This site provides reference information for pill identification. It is not medical advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship.
Identification is a match, not a guarantee
A result on this site means that a pill's imprint and recorded characteristics match the FDA label for the medicine shown. It is never proof of the identity or safety of a specific physical pill. Counterfeit and look-alike pills copy genuine imprints; pills can also be damaged, degraded or contaminated in ways no database can see. Only a pharmacist examining the pill — or a laboratory analysis — can confirm an identity.
Never rely on this site for a decision to take medicine
- Do not take, give, or stop taking any medicine based on information from this site.
- Confirm every identification with a pharmacist or prescriber before relying on it.
- Nothing here tells you whether a medicine is appropriate for any person, what dose to take, or whether a pill is safe. Those are questions for a qualified professional who knows the patient.
Emergencies
If someone may have swallowed an unknown or wrong pill, or is unwell after taking any medicine, call Poison Control (US) on 1-800-222-1222 or your local emergency number immediately. Do not wait, and do not rely on a website.
About the data
Records are compiled from FDA label data (DailyMed / openFDA) that is submitted by product labelers; the FDA does not verify every field, and we do not guarantee the data is complete or error-free. Known gaps are documented on the methodology page. If you spot an error, please report it.
No sale of medicines
This site does not sell medicines, does not link to sellers of prescription medicines, and does not provide a way to obtain them.
